BILLIONAIRE? WHAT? YES? WHO? ME?

“I see my name in shining lights, a different city every night. I swear the world better prepare. For when I’m a billionaire”
Remember with that one, guys? That’s right, it’s a part of Bruno Mars’ song. This song really inspires me. You know why? Let’s check this kind of scratches and you will know what I am just saying.
“If I’m a billionaire, what will I do?” It sounds idiot, but I’m sure that everyone ever said that, so do I.
If I am a billionaire, firstly, I will scream out to the air. I will introduce my new name to the world as Nabila Izzati and Billionaire is my middle name. Then, I will buy all the things that I’ve never had, such as private plane to go travelling around the world, new limousine, new great house in strategic area, even silly thing like new calculator to calculate my money every time.
If I am a billionaire, there’ll be no day without travelling. I will go travelling accross the world by my own plane with my whole family. I will go everywhere, especially South Korea. I will step on that country and find my idol, my inspiration, G Dragon. I will surely meet him and say a lot, too. Not only that, I want to also be on one stage with him, sing a song altogether with his boy band, Big Bang. Such a stormy sweet journey, right?
If I am a billionaire, I will help people with anything. As you know, my childhood’s dream is to heal children who have serious ill but they got no money to go to hospital. So, actually my dream is to become pediatrician. However, if I am a billionaire, no need to become pediatrician, just give them money and everything will be handled.
If I am a billionaire, I will do something useful for my country. I will explore all of its natural and human resources to make a better world. I will not let anybody make any disruption towards my country. Also, I will develop all of its potential things, like its recreation place. I will show the world that my country isn’t only Bali. It has a lot more unique places which people can visit.
If I am a real billionaire, I promise myself to keep on my right path. I will always keep honest as my pride. Even I become the richest woman in the world, I will not be arrogant person who forget where I came from. I will remember who encouraged me to stand this tall, my Mom, my Dad, my teacher, as well as my friends. I will keep my eyes on them and probably when they need help, I can help.
There is one missing, becoming a billionaire is actually not easy as you expected. Sometimes, people will get envy, mock you behind, or they are just close to you, but know nothing about you. They look for your money only. It’s really ironic, right?. So, I suggest you all that whoever you are, just be proud of it and enjoy it. Believe it that you will see your shine later on when you growing up.

A Match Made in Heaven (What if I Were a Dove?)

White couple fly up in the sky, explore the wide air
Keep on white silent, seems they say no violence
They keep on going, heaping higher and higher
Two doves are gliding in the air, without being schizophrenia,
Then come, step their foot in this earth

Never feel any shy, proudly show their white love,
I see one of them stay still, and another stay still too
Care each other, love each other indeed
Deep feeling of loyal love, makes me envy of them
They know the true meaning of loyalist
They let you have faith in love

Looking at them,
A silly question comes to my mind
What if I were dove
What if I were flying, getting ready to catch rainbow
Going over the world, spreading my white wings
Without any doubt, flying freely in that air path

If I were a dove, a couple dove
Never let each other be alone, always together
Even have pains along day, keep beside off
Stay still with old promises, just keep each other

If I were a dove,
Forget every any trouble in life, just enjoy clean air
Screaming out silently, keep as my pride
Lay down in strange twig, with my tough feet
If I were a dove,
Take a deep breath, and ready to fly J

Within Life

A crazy little lad just look in the air, ignored say fine
Memories old pain fold out, dance uncontrol in his mind
Screaming by self, surround by much of strife
Remember slicing in soul, lay down lie of life

When the world is getting dark, by empty-off shine
Lay down in dumps, leaving sore eyes behind
An unexplainable scratches, let lonely be
Chance of sorrow, painful fall out maybe

When somebody ask, let him answer
Where is a piece of energy? I haven’t a clue
Where is a slice of raise? Goodness knows
Where is a bunch of spirit? Search me
Where is alive of life? No care perhaps

Waiting brilliant miracle comes out, like notice to avoid surf
The day when pains away, force him to move
Moonlight shines new soul, hopes blossom
Day by day, catch his destiny by new action

Seeking great life, encourage new pride
Just like gorgeous angel, climb of tide
Belief in new footsteps, leaving a lot ashore
Sow fabulous view, reap victory more

LUMOS! (Live Usually Makes Outstanding Survivor)

Exactly on February 10th 1996, a nice girl was born, becoming newbie in this real world. It had to be the extraordinary day for her parents because she was their first daughter who might paint the world by spreading her smile. Her parents were really excited about it, so they gave her a beautiful name. They named this baby ‘Nabila Izzati’.
That day became the first day for Nabila to begin her long life journey. Nobody knows that she will through her days by many great experiences. Do you want to know some of it? Lets check this out!
As we all know that everybody must have their own choice, right? So does Nabila. Nabila already chooses her life just like she has right now. She chooses to be a good, cheerful, active and diligent girl, and to have a lot of friends around her. It’s really helpful when we have a lot of peers, right?
Wait, guess what? Nabila doesn’t completely agree with that statement. At that time, Nabila already graduated from junior high school in Sidoarjo. Because she got scholarship,  she must continue her senior high school in Malang. Firstly, she was optimistic that she could survive in another place in a long period without her Mom and Dad. She was really excited to meet her new friends which have diverse background. Also, she promised herself that she had to be a strong girl who will make parents proud.
As the time went by, the reality wasn’t as good as she predicted at the first place. Many troubles came and insisted her to solve it as soon as possible even without parents suggestions. One of her main problem was when many of her friends mocked her behind. It really made Nabila sad and upset. It seemed like unfair because she already respected to others, but why people did that on her? Not only that, a mountain of school assignment became Nabila’s best friend. She was really tired of it so that she could’t join others event. Moreover, a tight competition among students made Nabila like down in the dumps.
Just like what 7 habits say, Nabila wants to be an effective teenager. Firstly, she makes anything flow the way it is as well and wait. If there is no change, she begins to take wise action. Out of the blue, not until long period, Nabila can decrease her problems step by step. She makes better attitude so that her friends feel guilty and say a deep sorry for mocking her behind. Also, Nabila tries to manage her time for study and joining other event, such as competition and become winner of it. Then, Nabila also tries to change her paradigm about how tight the competition in her school. She makes it become motivation to be better and better.
From case above, Nabila learned something. She thinks that life is all about travelling over world and swallowing great adventure. Imagine when you are travelling in the forest that you will see any new situation, it’s same like you meet new people everyday whom you never imagine before. You must be wise person to choose whether its good for you or not.
One night before going bed, Nabila realizes that life is just like giant bianglala. Sometimes, we are in the top, proudly in highest point but its not permanent. There’s the time when we are at the lowest point where it’s hard for us to move on. She remembers her teacher’s saying that life is game so play it, life is adventure so dare it, and life is life so fight for it. After since, Nabila never gives up as long as she believes “every dark light is always followed by a light morning”.

Bad Teacher? Good Teacher?

Who are your parents in school? Yes, TEACHER! As second parents, teachers have their own positions that are really important for our lifes. They will influence our characters and our habits. Without them, we can’t get fundamental value in our life journey. Just like determiner, they can measure our ability and judge our attitude, whether It’s good or not. Those they do are pure for own sake.
Wait a second! Just make sure that we never be a perfect person, as usual student, I’m sure that most of us ever mock teacher, right? or in another case, I’m sure that not few of us ever compare one teacher to another, right?
In general case, students often compare bad teacher and good teacher. They usually label ‘bad teacher’ because the teacher is really bad in teaching, often give mountain of homework, or seem like monster who always show furious face during teaching. Not only that, students also compare teacher from their age. Beside the age, teaching style also part of it. They usually label “young teacher and old teacher’. They named ‘young teacher’ for those who are fashionable and exciting teacher. Most of students like this type because teacher is like their own friend and they free to ask anything.  Besides, they named ‘old teacher’ for those who have old learning style and never joke with students. This type of teacher usually make students like down in dumps.
Actually, it’s okay if we want to compare one teacher to another, because that becomes our own authority. Students may have freedom to give their opinion about the way teacher teach. It’s also become teachers’ consequences that they can’t teach well and disappoint students.
However, teacher is also human. They ever did mistakes so we did. From that, we shouldn’t mock them behind. They’re our parents in school, so we must respect them as well as our parents at home. They already give us knowledge which is so important for us in the future. Then, I’m sure that we have no apparent reasons to mock them, right? Isn’t too ridiculous?
Honestly, I ever compared my teachers. At that time, I gave my sympathy to teacher A, but really hated teacher B. I liked teacher A because she was so kind and helpful. In other way, I really hated teacher B, because she was too moody and unfair among students. I still remember that I often mocked teacher B. I always said bad thing of her without knowing who she was actually. As time goes by, I realize that teacher B wasn’t as bad as I thought. I know that I had bad paradigm in first impression. I really regretted for mocking her.
After since, I realize that it’s okay if we want to grade our teacher but as long as you aren’t too over. Then, try to have positive thinking on your teacher because maybe you only look them from one perspective. Try to keep your good paradigm in mind that your teacher is your parents. Are you going to mock your own parents? It’s really simple but it does have really deep meaning. BELIEVE ME!

Need 25 hours in a day?

What is in your mind if I say computer? Game addict, task, or else? I’m sure that all of us known well about this gadget. It’s very popular among people; maybe around 85% of citizen in the world must have this in home. Moreover, high technology, such as internet may influence the increase of using computer in teenagers. They become addict to used computer for game online and browsing everthing.
Todays, computer is just like our best peer which is always in front of us to help anything. It can used to search school materials, download song or movie, send email to our pen pal, or just surfing for kill the time. During used computer, some of us may forget time and stay in front of it until cows come home. From this case, one question fly in my mind, ‘Do we need 25 hours in a day to fulfill our needed by run computer?’
Try to imagine the world without computers? We rely on them for everything. Too many important aspects of our lives depend on computers and one of the crucial aspect is communication. Computer makes our communication easier and it’s really helpful. Futhermore, if we use computer programs to do our task, such as word processing, we became no longer worry since it has spellchecker and checks for grammar mistakes. If our computer crash, for some reason, many of us are lost and don’t know what to do. So as you can see we depend on computer too much.
Otherwise, do you ever think that computer may have bad risk for our live? In some cases, it could influence our health. Too much seeing the monitor of computer can make eyestrain. If we are not doing eye check regularly, it can make worst effect. Then, it can make us feel tired. For example we are doing our task by typing on computer in a prolonged, but usually we forget to eat and get enough rest. Futhermore, It makes seriously headaches when we use computer in a long time.
If we are too dependent on computer, we may have no time for the real world. We can’t have good interaction because we are too busy in front of it. Also, if children use computer for browsing in internet without sensor, it can make bad habit on them. It will make bad influence for their growing and development. From all cases above, we can say everything which is too dependent is never good.
In my opinion, computer has 2 faces, positive and negative. It becomes our own decision whether we take positive or even negative. Actually, it’s okay if we are too dependent on computer, but we also must have other activities that can solve the problems of it, such as take holiday or enough rest after work on computer. Then, we must manage time for working and have interaction with others. Don’t only waste our time by surfing in internet. Try to find good interaction so we can paint our life become more colorful.

YOU BELIEVE, YOU CHOOSE, YOU ENCOURAGE!

Watch out! A lot of campaigns were everywhere on notice board of my dormitory! Some students yelled their missions and vision to attract others. They also promote themselves with many interesting activities, such as spread some quotes, playing music, even watching movie together. What’s up?
The purpose of these activities was there would be an election to choose head of dormitory committee. They will be chosen as representatives for holding on students’ opinion about dormitory. So because of that, they were really busy with many kinds of campaigns.
Actually, there were nine candidates from nine houses. They were interviewed by house senates to test how tough they were to be the head of dorm commitee and to know whether they have willingness or not.  After that, only the top three candidates who would compete further to be head of dormitory committee. They were Ahmad Nando, Tedy Zainal, and Afif Pandu.
Then, campaign process began! Those 3 candidates were given 2 days for doing it. Every candidate was compete to attract students by doing different activities. Uniquely, each candidate has their own type of campaigns. Ahmad Nando was famous with the name ‘AMIN’- which came from his name and his vice (Ahmad Nando and Nuzulia Amini). Tedy tried to steal voters’ heart by playing guitar in front of dormitory, and Afif asked many students to watch movie together.
Not only the candidates, all members of dormitory were also excited to join in this campaigns. They really appreciated all efforts from each candidate. Just like paparazzi, students always looked for the newest information. So that they wouldn’t regret choosing person when it came to the real election.
Election time began! It took place in Mercusuar, beloved place in my dormitory. There, all students gathered to see public skill from each candidate. Behind the judge table, there were Mr Muslich as head of dormitory and Son Ardhynata as current head of committee.  They’re ready to judge the candidates as well. Not only from the judges, questions might also come from the students. So, the students were not just spectators, but they also allowed to ask the candidates for answers to the questions to make sure they chose the best person. As the time went by, every candidate already had their turns to answer every question from the judges.
After public skill finished, it was the time for choosing. All candidates had their vacuum time in secret chamber. The students, from grade 10 until grade 12 had their right to choose. All students made up a line tidily and waited for their turn to choose. Organizers directed students to go to separated vooting booths, so everyone couldn’t see others’ voice. After students finished choosing, they were stamped in their palm from the organizers. This action was taken to prevent unfair election.  It showed that the organizers already prepared everything for this election. So,  the election processes ran well and there was no problems.
From all of those processes, we finally got the winner of the election. He was Ahmad Nando. This lad must be tickled pink because most students already believed in him to run fundamental job. We hope his promises are not only promises, but he can truly act wisely as the upcoming head of dormitory committee. Just like his motto “FREEDOM FOR WISDOM!.

Your Homework? Is It All About Pain or Gain?

Im sure that everybody will scream when they hear about homework, especially for students. Why does this happen?

Almost everynight, books and worksheets might seem like natural part of childhood. Students will do a mountain of homework, forcing themselves in their rooms to finish it. Some poeple said that we must think harder and spend more time just for doing homework. Those reasons can make students have negative thinking of homework.
Let me say that homework is additional exercise from teacher to make students understand better about the topic they learn. It can be like worksheets, short essays,  or projects. By doing their homework, students can absorb more knowledge and find difficulties from that work to be asked to the teacher.
People have different opinion about homework. Some of them might think that homework is a useful exercise to improve students’ knowledge and a practice of skills in individual or team project. However, not few of them also think that homework is just like disgusting work which is really wasting time. From this case, we can say that homework has two really different sides, helpful or even harmful. What do you think?
On one side, homework is really helpful for students. The main benefit of assigning homework is we can review the material covered in class. Homework can change a student to become diligent because with a mountain of homework on their own desk, they will start to do it and prevent them from being lazy. Futhermore, this additional work can explore students’ knowledge and improve their ability to do that work. It also can be a sword to help students remember the material when they have test.
On the other side, homework can be harmful. Just like there is a monster in homework, many students are so scared of it that they feel very lazy to do their work. They think it is useless because they can directly cheat a friend’s answer in the morning before bell ringing. They think it’s very time consuming and stressful for several students.  If you have many homework, it’s really hard for you to enjoy your holiday. Moreover, it might be nightmare for type of students who have good understanding in class but have no idea what to do with their homework.
From all of that cases, I can conclude that homework has positive side and negative side. Just absorb the positive side as much as we can and kick the negative side as far as we can. Also, to help manage our time to do the homework, we can ask for help from someone as our tutor. If so, we can control our self to be diligent student. Then, we will always get great result in class because we already practice something previously.
Just you, the one who can filter whether it is good or bad.  All of your decision is influencing  your dreams and your future. So, start from now, try to love homework and manage your time well to do all of that, won’t you?
